Employment LawEmployment work is overseen by the litigation group which undertakes both contentious and non-contentious work for employers and employees.
On the contentious side, the group strives to give practical and sensitive advice in the hope that a compromise satisfactory to both parties might be achieved thereby minimising the stress, disruption and expense of a fully contested Tribunal hearing. If a compromise cannot be reached, the employment group has ample experience in preparing for a Tribunal hearing.
The group advises on dismissal claims of all types, redundancy, discrimination, parental, maternity and paternity rights as well as disciplinary and grievance procedures.
On the non-contentious side, the group is able to draft and advise on compromise agreements, contracts of employment, internet policies, restrictive covenants, confidentiality provisions, maternity policies, disciplinary and grievance procedures.
